Voice and Swallowing Disorders Clinic is run by the 1st Otolaryngology Department of the Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. It takes place every Wednesday 11.00-13.00 at the Otolaryngology Outpatients Rooms, AHEPA Hospital.

Patients with voice and swallowing disorders of any aetiology are being treating. The diagnosis is based on validated questionnaires, screening tests, endoscopic and other specialized examinations of voice and swallowing.

Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) uses real food and liquid for the assessment of swallowing giving the opportunity to trial multiple eating strategies with various food consistencies. The patients understand what is happening when they swallow. Patients, family and other caregivers understand and learn how different postures or food textures or other interventions while eating will help swallowing.
