The Laboratory of Experimental Neurology and Neuroimmunology (ENNI Lab) is located on the 3rd floor of the New Building of AHEPA General Hospital as part of the B’ Neurological Department, under the supervision of Prof. Grigoriadis Nikolaos. Special animal experimental facility is located on the ground floor of the Old Building of AHEPA General Hospital. Research conducted in the ENNI Lab addresses subjects in the field of the interaction of the immune and nervous system in diseases of the central (CNS) and Peripheral Nervous System (PNS). The ENNI Lab is functionally interconnected to the clinical sector of MS, as a part of B’ Neurological Department.

The personnel of the ENNI Lab is compridsed by Research Fellows (of Medical and Biological Science), Technical assistants, Master and PhD Students as well as 1 administrative employee. The ENNI Lab during the last years has developed collaborations with Research Centers and Laboratories in Greece and Europe participating into common Research Programms. The ENNI Lab is funded through National and European Community Research Programms and Sponsorships through the Research Committee (RC) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Research conducted in ENNI Lab addresses CNS autoimmunity aspects by the use of Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis (EAE), the animal model of MS. The ENNI Lab is comprised of distinct structural and functional Units, each of which is appropriately equipped to comply with its role.
